User's guide

ResCalendar.com is a simple Internet application designed for small scale hotels, motels or similar complexes. Sort of a digital hotel journal. The main goal of the program is to provide a simple way to keep track of your reservations, accommodations and all the helpful information related to your facility. And all that accessible from everywhere providing you have an Internet connection with Web browser (smart phones count too).

In order to work with it , you should Log in.

The default user is: admin

The password: 1234

After logging in successfully, the full menu will appear below the calendar.

The first menu option is "Administration". There you can manage the authorized users of the system.

! Important: You have to change the default password, otherwise everyone could log in from the Internet.

The next menu option is „Add reservation ”. Actually you could add records in different ways, like clicking on a date in the calendar for example, or from some of the reports. If you click on a date that has been already set, you will enter the Edit form from where it is very easy to update or delete the reservation.  Here is how Add/Edit form looks like :

You have two text fields to enter information. The second may be used to fill internal data like contact info and the bill. At the bottom of form there is a check field referencing whether the reservation is already paid. All the paid records appear in the calendar in green, and the unpaid in red color!

At the top, you control the period and the room you are working with.

One of the most helpful options is to check the available rooms. You can easily determine which of the rooms are free and which not for any given period of time.

After the results are sent back from the database, it is very easy to click on the desired free room to book it.

Another function is to get a sorted list of all the records - reservations and accommodations. You can choose how you would like to sort the records.

For arrival dates around the current date, there is different mark and color making them easily to distinguish. This way it is easy to see who are you expecting to arrive today or tomorrow.

• Other useful reports are giving information about how many people you have in your hotel for any given time. There are options to filter them out, so you can always tell the number of adults and children for breakfast for example...
